Employee Spotlight - Heather Tooley

Heather Tooley grew up just down the street in Nicholasville, Kentucky.  After graduating high school, she obtained a bachelor's degree from Sullivan University in Human Resource Management.  She currently lives in Nicholasville with her husband and two children.  

Heather stays busy with her daughter's competitive cheer team after being recently becoming the "team mom."  She fundraises for the team and leads their bonding activities.  Heather loves to interact with and meet new people, which are the perfect qualities for her position at Bates Security.

Q. How long have you been at Bates Security?
A. I started as a temp in September of 2014, but was hired as a full time employee in February of 2015.

Q. How did you get your job at Bates Security?
A. Through a temporary agency.  I was familiar with the company, having seen their ads and vans so I was excited to have gotten an interview.

Q. What are your job duties?
A. I work in our Customer Service Center (CSC).  I am responsible for running daily communications reports, which shows customers who have had a communication issue with their security system.  This may  be due to cancelling a phone line and not being aware that it will have an effect on the security system or if the customer is out of town and didn't realize there was a power outage at their home.  I'll contact these customers and try to troubleshoot the issue.  I also assist customers with code changes, schedule changes, updating call lists or any other general concerns that our customers may have.

Q. What is your favorite part about your job?
A. I really enjoy talking to our customers and helping find solutions for their concerns.  Everyone here seems to come together when one customer is in need of help and I like that we are all such a team.  I love my job!
