On March 14 at 3:01 a.m., Central Station received audio and motion alarms at First Alliance Church in Lexington. Officers immediately responded to the alarm and found an open door. They set up a perimeter and alerted the K9 team. The subject fled and remained at large. Detective Randall Kloss located the suspect later and obtained a confession.

On May 7th and May 8th, Scott Green presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Officer Ron Willis and Detective Randall Kloss for their assistance in the apprehension of the criminal.
