On Monday, September 22, 2014 the Jessamine County Police Department apprehended one criminal after responding to a Bates Security alarm. According to reports, at 2:37 a.m., our Central Monitoring Station received corner door alarms while the perpetrator attempted to use a crow bar to gain entry to the building. When that method failed, the perpetrator then broke glass out of a window in the door and reached in and unlocked the door. Police were already on their way.
When Officer Jason L. Fraddosio arrived on the scene, he caught the suspect red-handed putting wires into bags and trash cans to be pawned for copper. The 14-year police veteran told us that this was his first apprehension during a robbery. He also mentioned that when the suspect was unable to gain entry to the building using the crow bar method, he took the tools back out to his truck before moving on to breaking the glass in the door. Apparently he thought he had more time.
Bates Security consultant Scott Green presented a Certificate of Excellence and a branded duty bag to Officer Fraddosio as a thank you for his continued work and quick response to our Bates Security alarms.
